Most ferns do well in part shade or dappled sunlight, but there are many that will do well with quite a bit of sun, provided they get enough water. Shade loving ferns appreciate an organic, evenly moist, well-drained soil. If your soil is heavy on the clay or sandy side you can add compost or other organic matter to help balance it out. (If you use manure, be sure it is properly aged.) Ferns require minimal maintenance throughout the year. Send hand crafted flower arrangements and plants online through Plantshed.com, your local NYC florist.

NOTE: Delivered in terracotta pot, but does NOT include a saucer. Please order the saucer separately if so desired (it should be the same size as the pot, or one size smaller). Most of our plants are readily available, but depending on the season, some orders may take 24-36 hours to process. In this case you will be contacted by a Plantshed representative.

Plants Indoor Foliage Plants
Flowers Water Change vase water every other day (add flower food to the new water if available). All should be submerged.

If your flowers came in a basket or other container with foam, add fresh water every day.
Flowers Light/Temperature Display your bouquet or flower arrangement in a cool, draft-free area.

Avoid direct sunlight, which causes the flowers to die more quickly.
Flowers Pruning Immediately remove dead or wilting leaves and stems.

Recut your flower and foliage stems just before putting them back into new water.
