Care Guide
Keep soil evenly moist year-round. Don't allow the soil to become soggy or dry out.
Bright, direct sunlight is best but can tolerate moderate light as well. New growth may be slower and smaller in low light.
To trim and stimulate new growth, prune off older leaves that may start turning brown at the base of the stem.

Use a well-draining, All-Purpose potting soil. Can mix soil with lava rocks to improve drainage. Bird of Paradise likes to be root-bound in pots with drainage holes.

Feed with a liquid, indoor plant fertilizer about once a month during the growing season. Do not fertilize in winter.
Tolerates a wide range of temperatures, but prefers 60-85°F. Keep away from drafty windows and air conditioners.
