Loving plants is one thing, but caring for them is something entirely different. There’s so much to consider! Like: “How much sunlight does it need? How big does it get? Is it safe for pets?” Growing plants can quickly become overwhelming, but it doesn’t have to be.
To demystify all things plant care, we are rolling out new guides every week that will make plant parenting SO MUCH EASIER. Everything from sun and water requirements to air-purifying properties and propagation techniques will be at your fingertips. The new Care Guides are located on the lower half of our product pages and feature all the info you’d like to know before committing to a new plant relationship. The Care Guides are also available as downloadable PDFs so you can print for handy access.
Take Bird’s Nest Ferns. These guys are true jungle plants, hailing from the warm temperatures of islands in the Pacific. In their native habitats, Bird's Nest Ferns are often found growing in the nooks and crannies of other plants and trees. New foliage emerges from the plant's central rosette, gradually unfurling into long, elegant fronds. You might think Bird’s Nest Ferns are hard to keep happy all the way over here in New York, but you’d be wrong! Check out our Care Guide for super-easy tips on how you can have a long happy “fernship” with your next Bird’s Nest Fern.
