Ficus Burgundy - Grande
Ficus elastica[ Pot Size: 5'' - 6'' | Height: 5" - 6" ]
The Rubber Tree is a broadleaf evergreen with oval, burgundy foliage. As houseplants, Rubber Trees grow rather fast—sometimes averaging 1-2 feet a growing season—and can reach 6-10 feet tall. However, if a lesser height is desired, Rubber Trees respond well to pruning and shaping. While all houseplants filter the air, the Rubber Tree is especially effective at removing toxins that can cause respiratory problems, such as formaldehyde.

Care Guide
About once a week. Allow the top 2 inches of soil to dry. Water less often in winter.
Bright, indirect light is best. A few hours of direct morning sun is okay but too much will dull the leaves. Will become leggy in low light. Dust leaves monthly to ensure they can absorb light.
Prune damaged leaves by breaking to the leaf node. Can trim new growth to reduce height and control shape. Propagation is difficult outside of greenhouse settings.
Easy! Just make sure it has enough sunlight and that you don’t overwater.
Use a well-draining, All-Purpose potting soil. Young plants should be transplanted annually. Once mature, transplant every 2-3 years to give room to vast root network.
Mildly toxic. Sap can cause mouth irritation and indigestion if consumed.
The NASA Clean Air Study has ranked the Ficus elastica as one of the most efficient houseplants that remove formaldehyde from the air we breathe.
Feed with a liquid, indoor plant fertilizer about 1-2 times a month during the growing season. Do not fertilize in winter.
Prefers warm, humid conditions around 60-75°F. Keep away from drafty windows and air conditioners.
