When grown indoors it is best to put this in your sunniest window (south, south west exposure) and rotate it once a week. If kept outdoors place it in partial shade to prevent scorching. Keep the rootball moist, never let it dry out completely, but also avoid excess soil wetness. Drying out will kill the tree immediately.
Plants make great gifts for any occasion. Send some green with PlantShed, hand-delivered to NYC + NJ, 7 days a week.

Care Guide
Keep the soil consistently moist but not soggy. Water when the top inch feels dry. Reduce watering slightly in winter. Avoid letting it dry out completely.
Place in a spot with bright, indirect light. It can tolerate some direct morning light, but harsh afternoon rays should be avoided.
Prune in early spring or after flowering to shape the plant and encourage dense growth. Use clean, sharp scissors and avoid cutting into old wood.
Myrtle needs moderate care. Regular watering, good light, and occasional pruning. Not difficult, but does require some attention to stay healthy and shapely.
Needs well-draining, loamy soil. A mix of potting soil with sand or perlite works well. Slightly acidic to neutral pH is ideal.
Sorry! Myrtle is toxic to pets if ingested.
Yes! It helps improve indoor air quality.
Feed once a month in spring and summer with a balanced liquid fertilizer diluted to half strength.
Prefers temperatures between 60–75°F (15–24°C). Avoid cold drafts or frost. Not frost-tolerant.
