Plant Care Guide
Light
Bright, filtered light is best but can tolerate low light as well. Avoid direct sunlight.
Water
About once every 10-14 days. Keep soil evenly moist in the spring and summer, allowing the top inch of soil to dry. Water less often in winter. Okay with low humidity.
Level of Care
Easy! Just make sure the soil doesn't dry out completely.
Air Purifying
Neanthe Bella Palms remove toxins that can build up in indoor spaces. A general rule of thumb is 1 medium houseplant per 100 square feet of space effectively cleans the air we breathe.
Fertilizer
Fertilize once in the spring with a 8-2-12 palm fertilizer. Do not fertilize in winter.
Temperature
Common household temperatures between 60 and 80 degrees Fahrenheit are best.
Soil
Use a peaty, soil-based potting mix with a pH between 5 and 7. All-Purpose potting soil is usually okay. Try not to disturb the roots too much.
Pruning & Propagation
Do not prune unless removing the entire frond or stem. To propagate, simply divide the cluster of many small plants that make up the palm.
Pet Friendly
Yes! Neanthe Bella palms are non-toxic to cats and dogs.
