Social Equality

PlantShed is committed to social justice. We stand in solidarity with the Black Lives Matter movement, the LGBTQI community and with women’s rights initiatives. PlantShed will continue to advocate for safety, peace, and equality for all, regardless of race, sexual orientation, gender, or creed. To drive meaningful change, we all must take action. We are taking the following steps to contribute to the city and country’s progress towards a truly equal society.

LISTENING AND LEARNING
Creating a safe space for our staff to express concerns and suggestions and implement changes based on their experiences.

SUPPORTING
Supporting our Black employees and Black owned businesses. We will be making more initiatives to hire, train and promote Black employees in our workforce. We are also actively reaching out to Black owned businesses in our industry to see how we can work together.

DONATING
Donating to organizations that support our vision for an equal future.

We have donated to and will continue to raise funds and contribute to the following organizations:

PlantShed has always been dedicated to working with the community of New York City by supporting schools and organizations that give back to our neighborhoods. We will continue to work with organizations that are fighting for social justice and to advance our city and nation.
